This is not an extraordinary story in Tanzania. It is a reality for countless young women striving to build a better future despite overwhelming odds. Many are single mothers, raising children alone with no access to clean water, stable housing, or the education needed to break the cycle of poverty.

Thanks to the generosity of donations, we recently helped Else, a young woman facing these exact struggles. We were able to rebuild her home using durable cement, ensuring it could withstand the harsh weather. We provided her and her family with a proper bed and access to electricity, offering her children a safe and stable place to learn and grow.

But stability is only the beginning. Through our Business Education Empowerment (BEE) Program, Else gained the skills she needed to transform her future. She learned how to craft a professional resume and cover letter, preparing her for a career. As a result, she secured an administrative job with the Ministry of Education. But she didn’t stop there—we helped her develop a business plan and she launched her own shoe business, creating more of a sustainable source of income for her family so she could pay for food, electricity and access to water.
